It is indubitably not a good idea to reward yourself with food after a gym session as you may undo all your hard work in the gym. I guess we may unknowingly fall into the trap that sounds just too familiar, "I have just completed my workout, it is ok to indulge a little!" or "I can all the time workout more tomorrow to compensate for my indulgence today!"
Food And Dessert
These seem to be the suitable excuses for the post workout feasting but microscopic did we know that doing so sabotages our efforts to achieve weight loss especially if you are in the initial stage of losing weight vs say maintaining your weight.
So you may be wondering what exactly is the private that i am going to share with you. Basically, the private is my 5 golden rules that has worked well for me personally. Strict adherence to the rules together with the right intensity workout will help you step up your efforts to burn those extra fats off! The 5 golden rules are:-
No fast food
No fried food
No sugar/sweet food e.g. dessert
No cakes
No pastries
I think i can imagine the bewildered look on some of you because we are normally being told that moderation is the key, is it possible to give up all these food completely? "I love my cakes and pastries when i go hi-tea" and" i simply cannot give up chocolates and my favourite dessert!"
Well, I do agree that it is impossible to abstain from a distinct type of food and therefore, these rules to aid your fat burning efforts are only applicable on weekdays. You can relax the rules a bit over the weekends as weekends are normally the time for fun when you hang out with your family/friends or love ones.
However, that is not to say that you can give yourself the go-ahead on weekends and eat as much as you like. For some people, they may feel deprived and end up "compensating" themselves by giving in to their cravings when they lose control. Hence having a bit of leeway to allow a microscopic exceptions on weekends will help curb such problems.
Looking at the 5 golden rules, it is assuredly a plus if you can make it a point to indubitably cut them out from your diet consistently as most of the food indubitably load you with extra calories. Remember, you all the time have a selection when it comes to what you want to put into your mouth.
