Do you like to entertain? Do you enjoy having guests in your home, taking part in fellowship and food? I'm no Martha Stewart, but I like to no ifs ands or buts show some endeavor with extra and themed parties a few times a year. Here's how I pull it off.
I like to plan my events for the whole year in January. I'll share my target dates with friends to avoid any double-booking with their own events. Communication can help make sure you gather your first pick of dates and your Rsvp list full.
Food And Dessert
When time draws near, I like to pre-prepare some of the appetizer and sweetmeat dishes. I use the extra cling plastic wrap - the kind that sticks to itself - to seal up cream cheese tortilla spirals and dips. A few days before the event I'll do the baking. Thankfully my drawer organizers keep cooking and serving utensils cut off and help keep me working efficiently.
On the morning of my party, I iron out any wrinkles in the tablecloths and runners. My daughter helps ready the table by writing the place cards and decorating the stemware. I no ifs ands or buts use someone else set of drawer organizers to keep those specialty items organized, accessible and in good shape.
My duplicate oven, one of which is convection, no ifs ands or buts helps when it comes time to cook the main courses. I can prepare the meat dishes in the convection part while taking care of the breads in the approved part. When finished, I transfer everything to serving dishes with their own lids. I use heated ceramic trivets to help keep dishes hot while on the table.
Later after everybody has gone home for the evening, my family and I tackle the dishes. I firmly believe that puny tricks like staged making ready and drawer organizers help me pull off a flawless meal that population talk about for weeks.
Set A gorgeous Hostess Table
