Hosting a Wine (Tasting) Party

There are many dissimilar ways to advent a wine tasting party.

Expensive wine, cheap wine, red, white, rose', sweetmeat wines, regional wines, local wines, homemade, whatever goes.

Food And Dessert

Basic food you will need include:

Wine of course Variety of cheeses, crackers and chips Mixed nuts Veggie sticks Add your own food items or ask your guests to bring a dish

Party Supplies

The following are a list items you may pick to have on hand but these are not positively required. You may already have some of these items, if so you're ahead of the game. If you intend on having quarterly wine parties it would be advisable to have some of these items. Stock up on them a microscopic at a time to make it more economical.

Stemholder plates or vino plate clips Wine Glasses (see recommendation below) Buy cheap glasses then paint them with blackboard paint, use chalk to write names on the glasses Decanters Coasters Cheese Server Cutting board

Blind tasting (Some guest may will feel hesitant so make it fun) Try a non-alcoholic wine tasting Guess the glass with the non-alcoholic wine Wine Trivia game

Wine Painted wine glasses Crazy Wine bottle holders It's up to you if you want to do this.

Things to ask yourself

Just how serious are the guest about wine Casual wine drinkers Tailor your party to the guest and their likes There are no hard and fast rules, it's your party
